Some Things to Expect during Construction

JCD will do its best to make your experience as comfortable as possible. However, it is a construction project and some things are hard to control. The list below was created to help inform you of some house keeping items.

DUST AND DEBRIS

  • All construction projects have dust and debris. We will plastic off as much as reasonable, but some dust will still escape into the adjacent areas.

  • There will be some daily cleaning and organizing. We try to keep a clean work area, but the cleaning has to be kept within reason to keep costs down.

  • We will spend a little more time cleaning before a weekend.

QUALITY WORKMANSHIP

  • JCD follows the Residential Construction Performance Guidelines (RCPG) and provides you a digital copy for your reference. For more info see: RCPG Consumer Access

AVAILABLE FACILITIES

  • If there is a restroom close by that can be used, it would be appreciated.

  • Tool and material storage will be needed.

SCHEDULING AND COMMUNICATION

  • Normally, nobody will be on the project before 7:30am or after 6pm. Sometimes, to make deadlines or to finish up, work can continue on into later evening hours.

  • Normally, no one works Saturdays. If needed, work can take place on Saturday if approved by homeowner.

  • We will do our best to keep you informed of project schedule and process.

  • We utilize project management software called CoConstruct. You will get a welcome email once your account has been activated and connected to this project. For more information on the features and use of CoConstruct, please watch this 6-minute video.
